About Us
Experience Designers craft moments, meaning, and memories.
At 2B, we engage the imagination through immersive installations, art-forward live-action roleplaying games (LARPs), and thoughtful art curation in nontraditional spaces.
2B is anchored by married couple Becca & Gabriel Balmes, who frequently partner with friends, artist-friends, and other collaborators on various projects.
Becca is an an artist, curator, artist organizer & educator. Her curation is themed and thoughtful, with an emphasis on undervalued & emerging Southern artists. In the visual space she works in oil, watercolor, and hand-pulled prints for Happenings & curated spaces as well as commissioned clients. In the performance space, she designs interactive, experimental theatrical and improvisational moments to explore serious humanities topics through the window of collaborative creativity.
Gabriel has 18 years of experience in a B2B media environment. His day-to-day hits all the pertinent areas for successful experience design: business management & finance, events organizing, project management, marketing/advertising, & team management. He also has a background in the performing arts, and skill with carpentry and purposeful space design.
Current Project

Faefolk is in the works right now. The primary project will be an immersive art experience combining aspects of stage plays, museum exhibits, escape rooms, and murder mystery dinners, into an immersive live-action roleplay session that will take place in a specially-designed room. The experience will be for 4-7 participants, and take approximately 3 hours to complete.
The Faefolk experience is a social experiment designed to contribute to research Becca is doing on the role of legends--folk narratives about strange occurrences that negotiate belief/disbelief in the telling of a single episode presented as truth--in the processing of profound paranormal experiences, and the differences in the use of legend narratives by experiencers and non-experiencers.
